Larnaca Airport, Cyprus

Gatic Slotdrain was selected for use in the air-side locations on this project, although a cast in-situ channel was originally specified. The joint-venture group of contractors found that the cost for the complete Gatic Slotdrain channel unit (F900KN loading) was much less than the cost of heavy-duty gratings and frames. It was also estimated that Gatic Slotdrain would be up to four times quicker to install compared with a cast in-situ channel.

Terminal 5, Heathrow Airport.

Following a long and successful partnership with the BAA for many years, Gatic Slotdrain was automatically selected as the 'tried & tested' drainage solution for all of the external pavement areas at T5.

In addition to the extensive runs of heavy duty Gatic UltraSlot channels, the designers also incorporated a large number of Heavy Duty Outlet Boxes into the scheme. Supplied complete with high quality Gatic F900 gratings, the boxes provided a quick and highly cost effective alternative to constructing conventional manholes.

Valencia Airport

Gatic Slotdrain was selected for use on this airport project, although a pre-cast polymer concrete channel had originally been specified. The airport authority (AENA) was looking for a drainage system that could withstand the daily rigorous of a modern airport, with constant and fast-moving heavy-duty loads exerted by aircraft and service vehicles.
